Florio Marsala Fine Grand Chef Nv 750ml

Florio Marsala Fine Grand Chef is Truly Authentic Marsala, originating from DOC Marsala in Sicily, Italy. The Florio Winery in Marsala looks out towards the bright sea of western Sicily, wrapped by the energy of the winds and brushed by a salty tang from the waves. This 17% ABV fortified wine is shiny amber in color. The nose is pronounced with intense notes of dates and dried fruit. Full-bodied and well-rounded, on the palate the wine has flavors of almonds, raisins, and caramel with a long finish.
Vineyards have bush-trained vines in the typical “alberello marsalese” method and/or low espalier trained, with a density of at least 4,000 plants per hectare. It's vinified by pressing of the grapes with a high sugar content. Fermentation occurs at a controlled temperature, then a blend of the resulting wine with fortified must, cooked must, and wine-brandy. The wine is aged for at least 12 months in oak casks of different volume, then aged in bottle for two months before release.
As the original brand that put Marsala on the global map in the 1800s, Florio has both pioneered and perfected a premium, distinctly versatile range that’s made to savor, whether you're sipping or simmering.
